Roombots Roombots: Modular Robotics for Adaptive Furniture

This project aims to design and control of modular robots. Their design project named as “Roombots”, to be used as building blocks for furniture that moves, self-assemble, reconfigures itself, and self-improvement. Modular robot robots made of several modules that can be installed and simple. Connectors between the unit allows the formation of arbitrary structure and changes depending on the task to be solved. Rolex Learning Center is an independent group of Roombots connected to one another to form various types of furniture such as benches, chairs, sofas and tables, depending on user needs.[Via]
